Add water to the beef and cook until tender. Add soy sauce, sugar, chopped ginger and continue cooking until the beef is dark brown and only a small amount of liquid remains. Tear into strips 1 1/2 inch long and 1/4 inch wide. The meat is very salty and is eaten in small amounts with rice. |
