Dried Beef (Yuk-poh)

Six (6) servings.

  • 2 pounds beef
  • 5 tablespoons shoyu (Korean soy sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoon pine nuts

Cut the beef into slices 1/4 inch thick. Combine soy sauce, salt, sugar, oil, pepper and add to the beef.

Mix well and spread the slices of beef on a wire rack.

Sprinkle with finely chopped pine nuts and place in the sun for two days or until thoroughly dried.

Place where the air circulates freely. When well dried, broil and cut into 1 inch squares for serving.
