Kim Chee

Kim Chee, or kimchi, is a picked side-dish served at practically all Korean meals.

Kim Chee is made from raw vegetables and is an excellent source of vitamins.

As well as being a side dish, Kim Chee is often made first then used as an actual ingredient in Korean recipes like Kim Chee Stew, Kim Chee Rice and Kim Chee Soup.

If you still haven't quite understood how important Kim Chee is to Koreans, it's worth knowing that the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) devloped a special type of Space Kim Chee for the first Korean astronaut to take to the Russian space ship Soyuz, you simply can't leave home without it!
